Our client is a highly respected boutique investment banking and advisory firm focused on serving founder-owned, family-owned, and private equity-backed businesses across the lower middle market. The firm advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, restructuring engagements, and strategic growth initiatives across a variety of industries, including industrials, healthcare, business services, consumer, distribution, and technology.
The platform offers professionals the opportunity to work directly with senior bankers and clients while gaining meaningful exposure across all phases of the transaction lifecycle. Responsibilities
•
Support the execution of M&A advisory, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements
•
Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and operating models
•
Prepare pitch books, confidential information presentations, management presentations, and other client-facing materials
•
Conduct company, industry, and market research to support transaction and business development efforts
•
Assist in the preparation of buyer and investor lists, outreach materials, and transaction process management
•
Coordinate due diligence processes and data room management
•
Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, and strategic alternatives to develop actionable recommendations for clients
•
Participate in client meetings, management presentations, and investor discussions
•
Work closely with senior bankers throughout all stages of transaction execution
Qualifications
Analyst
•
1+ years of investment banking, transaction advisory, valuation, corporate development, or other relevant financial services experience
•
Strong foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and valuation methodologies
•
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
•
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
•
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
Associate
•
3+ years of investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or related experience
•
Proven experience executing M&A transactions and capital raising assignments
•
Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
•
Ability to manage workstreams independently while mentoring junior team members
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client-facing capabilities
Preferred Experience
•
Experience advising founder-owned, entrepreneur-led, or private equity-backed businesses
•
Exposure to middle-market or lower middle-market transactions
•
Knowledge of M&A processes, due diligence, and transaction structuring
•
Industry exposure to industrials, healthcare, business services, consumer, technology, or distribution sectors
